Best Buddies

Sometimes my kids play together. Nicely. Sometimes my kids pick on each other. Not so nicely. Sometimes my kids giggle together. Warms my heart. Sometimes my kids cry together. Usually makes me want to cry too. Sometimes my kids don't like each other. All the time my kids love each other. Isn't that just the way it is with siblings? Even after Marshall has done something to make Elise cry or after Elise has, in her excitement, hit Marshall repeatedly over the head with one of his cars, they still give hugs and kisses at night. They still play together. And Marshall still says to me, "Mom, Elise is my best friend." And he is ever protective-after telling one of his friends to be soft with his sister Marshall declared, "You have to be nice to my sister because I love her! She's a lovely sister!"

They love playing together in our back yard. We have an awesome swing set!
